About Gypsy Janes
One can only imagine growing up in a family of eleven children with the chaos that went on. Not I, what stands out most in my family are memories of laughter, love and a special bond with my mother as she made each of us feel like we were her favorites. Our parents gave us something more important than everyday necessities. They supplied us with memories and experiences that etched our hearts for a lifetime.
Our mother was always involved in the world of art and taught us to appreciate the beauty and history of it. At an early age, I naturally knew I would grow up to be like my mother. Art became my passion. My namesake “Gypsy Jane” appeared when I studied Art History in Italy. I received a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from University, California of San Diego after I returned to the United States from Italy.
My husband and I have five children and live in Fresno for 24 years. We call this beautiful Central Valley our home. Throughout the years of raising our family, I have been involved in teaching art at many elementary schools and helped with art docent programs. My extensive knowledge and experiences have helped me to fulfill a lifelong dream by founding Gypsy Jane's Painted House as an art program in 2018 to bring joy to children. I enjoy working with children and see through their eyes the importance of art. I want Gypsy Jane’s Painted House to grow in the mind of many children who will make fond memories and learn lifelong skills that will shape them into a loving, caring and self-confident individual. They can dream of becoming successful with our art enrichment program.
