George Seurat was part of one of the most exciting art revolutions of all time.
The French Neo-Impressionist painter was mentored by famous artists like Claude Monet, Renoir, Sisley, and Pissarro. All of whom were part of Paris's movement, bringing the art world to a whole new way of thinking outside the box.
These artists taught George it was ok to have his style and stand independently, using the techniques he learned.
Seurat painted in tiny dots of color, with the theory that the viewer's eye would mix them. This idea became quite a new sensation and a technique that would be called "pointillism." Today, a nickname given as insult by art critics will forever be known as "George Seurat's" unique painting style.
